Praise Dance

Ballet/Jazz
(Offered for ages 2-9)
Ballet is a highly technical and formal dance style .It is characterized by precise and fluid movements, pointe work (dancing on the tips of the toes), and an emphasis on grace, elegance, and storytelling through dance.
Jazz dance is a lively and dynamic dance style that emerged in the early 20th century in the United States. It draws influences from African, Caribbean, and European dance traditions, as well as from popular music and jazz rhythms. Jazz dance is characterized by its syncopated and improvisational movements, isolations, quick footwork, fluidity, and emphasis on musicality and expression. It can be seen in various forms, including Broadway jazz, contemporary jazz, and jazz funk
African Dance

African dance refers to the diverse dance styles and traditions that originate from various countries and cultures across the African continent.

African dances are known for their energetic and rhythmic movements, dynamic footwork, polyrhythms, and the use of the entire body, including the torso, arms, and legs.
Dance Fitness
(Offered for ages 16 & up)
Dance fitness refers to a type of exercise routine that combines dance movements with fitness elements. It aims to improve cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, and overall fitness while incorporating dance choreography.
Dance fitness classes often feature a variety of dance styles and music genres, such as hip-hop, Latin, and aerobic dance. These classes are designed to be fun, energetic, and accessible to people of different fitness levels.
Hip-Hop Dance
(Offered for ages 4 & up)
Hip-hop dance is a vibrant, urban dance style that originated within African American and Latinx communities in the United States during the 1970s.
It encompasses a wide range of movements, including popping, locking, breaking, krumping, and various street dance styles. Hiphop dance is characterized by its energetic and expressive nature, intricate footwork, isolations, body movements, and freestyle improvisation.
It is often accompanied by hip-hop music and culture, and it has become a global phenomenon with diverse styles and influences.
